Montlior News uses as few cookies as a functioning news site can. We set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies of any kind.
Cookies we set
- montlior_session — strictly necessary. Keeps the site working during your visit (for example, remembering that you dismissed a notice). Expires when you close your browser.
- montlior_prefs — functional. Stores display preferences such as your chosen edition. Expires after 12 months. Set only if you choose a preference.
- montlior_stats — analytics. A first-party, anonymised counter that helps us understand which journalism is read. It contains no identifier that can be linked to you. Expires after 30 days.
What we never set
No third-party advertising cookies, no social-media pixels, no cross-site identifiers, no fingerprinting. Embedded third-party content, where it appears, is loaded only after you interact with it.
Controlling cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time; the site will continue to work, though preferences will not persist. Instructions for common browsers are available from your browser vendor. Blocking the analytics cookie has no effect on your experience.
